These Classic nutcrackers from the Ulbricht factories located in Seiffen and
Lauingen, Germany represent the more traditional wooden nutcracker as it first
appeared in the Erzgebirge region. They carry that staunch and upright posture.
Each turned wood figure was typically fashioned into a figure of authority. Kings,
Guards, Princes and Soldiers were most commonly depicted.
Christian Ulbricht's quality and attention to detail denote a style to these
products made by the Ulbricht family that represents a 300 year family tradition.
Truly the finest of all German nutcracker makers, we have been honored to
have hosted a visit by either Christian or Gunther Ulbricht at our Open House
