The Frame Workshop displays one of the
largest selections of authentic German nutcrackers

Teddy Bear Maker
Steiff - Ulbricht Joint Issue
This was the premier nutcracker created as a joint
venture between these two respected German firms,
Christian Ulbricht and Steiff.
Ulbricht has since produced a nutcracker holding a
Steiff bear at least four times with a Santa and Teddy
Roosevelt, but this Teddy Bear maker was the first
design showcasing the works of these firms.

Ulbricht Tour Bird - Nutcracker
This year's Magical Loon will be the twenty-second addition
to this series of annual tour "cracking birds" that the
Ulbricht firm has created. The series started in 1997.
This tour bird nutcracker is released in conjunction with a
visit from Gunther Ulbricht to our shop on Friday, 9 November
2018 and at a handful of other select retail shops across the
United States that will also be hosting Ulbricht signing
events.

Arctic Tundra Santa
Steinbach Legends - 2026
"Christmas Legends" Series
This richly clad Arctic Tundra Santa is dressed in rich browns with
blue, red and white bunad embroidery or folklore ribbon (jacquard).
These trims, featuring geometric or floral patterns, are often used to
decorate Norwegian bunad costumes, Swedish, and Nordic folk
garments with edging embroidered trim.
He announces his arrival with a bag full of goodies at his feet and a
tall, White Snowflake staff.
He becomes the 33rd Santa in the Christmas Legends series that
started back in 1993 - perhaps the longest running series of nutcrackers.
This series first began showcasing period styled Santa's and then
transitioned into unique perceptions of Saint Nicholas as seen from
around the world!
The picture is the original artists' design concept for this year's
nutcracker. Photos of the actual nutcracker will be posted soon...

nutcrackers which has nicely included all the major characters
from his most well-known ballet.
Clara and the Mouse King are depicted upon the stage in that

Erzgebirge Ore Miner
Small Ulbricht Nutcracker
The entire range of smaller Ulbricht nutcrackers has been expanded
with some wonderful and detailed new designs including this Ore
Mountain miner attired in his dress uniform.
This traditional Bergmann is probably heading to a Miner's Parade
but still he carries his mountain axe and pit lamp, part of the
culture of the Erzgbirgische region.
This classic nutcracker (mostly all wood) is created with a glazed
painted finish which allows the wood grain to show through.
Attention to detail is a trade mark of each nutcracker from
Ulbricht including these traditional classic, wood-turned wonders.
