Each year the Steinbach firm amazes us with exciting new nutcracker designs
and in 2026 they have added a number of beautiful nutcrackers including an
elegant Tundra Santa, 33rd in the Christmas Legends series. We are
also pleased to announce the release of new nutcrackers adding to the
Cozy Santa series as well as the Santa Comes Around series.
With the 250th Anniversary of the United States as a Nation, Steinbach has also
created some elegant and patriotic Semi-Quincentennial nutcracker designs...
Since the new owners of the Steinbach firm took control in 2015 of the Marienberg
factory, they are producing Steinbach nutcrackers in their eleventh full year of
production! We have seen a definite improvement in the quality and added
consistency to this historic business and family name!

Betsy Ross Sewing the Stars
250th Anniversary
"America's 250th" Series
Created to celebrate the Semi quincentennial of the United States,
this depiction of Betsy Ross as a nutcracker honors a defining moment at
the birth of a nation.
Sitting calmly at her worktable, Betsy Ross is captured in an intimate
act of creation. With needle in hand, she carefully stitches the first
American flag, its thirteen stars forming a circle of unity and hope
with 13 stars for each new united colony. The red, white, and blue
fabric drapes naturally across her lap, bringing movement and life to
the scene—as if history itself is taking shape stitch by stitch.
Her attire reflects the simple elegance of the late 18th century: a blue
bodice, delicate white lace, and a traditional bonnet framing a calm yet
determined expression. A softly glowing lantern beside her symbolizes
guidance, perseverance, and quiet courage, while sewing tools at her
feet patiently await their role in shaping the future.
As the second figure in Steinbach’s 4th of July Edition and a key part
of the 250th Anniversary USA collection, Betsy Ross holds a special
place within this historic series. Strictly limited to 500 pieces

Santa Comes Around - Part V
Steinbach + Müller
As Santa continues his enchanting journey across Germany, he now finds
himself deep in the heart of the Erzgebirge, the Ore Mountains - a
region world-renowned for its rich tradition of wooden Christmas art.
It is here, among snow-covered rooftops and the scent of pinewood,
that Santa pays a visit to the respected firm of Müller...known for their
handcrafted Schwibbogen (Christmas arches), pyramids, and nativity scenes.
The birth of Christ is beautifully depicted on the candle arch with
detailed wooden figures and hand-carved animals. Under the stable’s
roof, Mary and Joseph kneel before the manger. Guided by the Star of
Bethlehem, shepherds with sheep and camels, along with the Three Wise
Men bearing gifts, arrive at the scene. Elaborately turned wooden
trees frame this depiction of the Holy Night.
The Schwibbogen is illuminated by five traditional wax candles or 6 LED
candles (Sold Separately). View this Santa & Candle Arch as
lighted in a nighttime setting.

Arctic Tundra Santa
Steinbach Legends - 2026
"Christmas Legends" Series
This richly clad Arctic Tundra Santa is dressed in rich browns with
blue, red and white bunad embroidery or folklore ribbon (jacquard).
These trims, featuring geometric or floral patterns, are often used to
decorate Norwegian bunad costumes, Swedish, and Nordic folk
garments with edging embroidered trim.
He announces his arrival with a bag full of goodies at his feet and a
tall, White Snowflake staff.
He becomes the 33rd Santa in the Christmas Legends series that
started back in 1993 - perhaps the longest running series of nutcrackers.
This series first began showcasing period styled Santa's and then
transitioned into unique perceptions of Saint Nicholas as seen from
around the world!
The picture is the original artists' design concept for this year's
nutcracker. Photos of the actual nutcracker will be posted soon...
