2022 Ulbricht Nutcracker
The "Dia de los Muertos", the Day of the Dead, is one of the
most important holidays in the Mexican calendar. As in Europe,
the deceased are commemorated in Mexico on November 1st and
2nd. Their souls return to the families on this day to visit
and celebrate with them.
This colorful and morbid festival is not a mourning event, but
a colorful folk festival in honor of the dead, who return to
their loved ones for a brief moment every year.
Attention to detail is a trade mark of every Ulbricht
nutcracker that originated with Otto Ulbricht in the
Erzgebirge in 1928.

This musical caroler with his top hat and holding his music is the
sixth in a delightful series of nutcrackers which feature a music box
and a unique and different Christmas tune with each new design.
This staunch well-dressed gentlemen holds a walking stick in one
hand, and sings aloud "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" which plays in
the music box at this feet, with other gifts stacked on top.
