1903 Leipzig Fair PB55
1903 at the Leipzig Spring Trade Fair, Richard Steiff
(Margarete's nephew), was packing up his display of
PB55 Bears (Steiff's premier jointed Teddy Bear),
after a not so successful day & that was until a
buyer from America, (Hermann Berg) who looking for
inspiration, came upon him and purchased the lot,
with an additional order for more. This was the
catalyst that molded Steiff into what they have
become today. Without that meeting who knows how
things may have turned out?
Having been such an instrumental and significant
event for Steiff, they decided to commemorate the
100th Anniversary by crafting a smaller, version of
the PB55 Replica Bear (404009 from 2002).
This 2003 Steiff Club Bear is 11" / 28,0 cm tall and
fully jointed. He has been sewn from a decadently
dense, chestnut mohair with matching wool felt paws,
plus glistening eyes with hand stitched, black thread
features. Around his neck is the Club Pendant crafted
from the finest Meissen Porcelain.
This exceptional piece of teddy bear history, comes
transported in his wooden crate, just like his ancestor,
and also featuring the same 1903 fittings, stamps and
labels. It's like stepping back in time!
This fabulous Steiff Club Exclusive for 2003, also comes
with a numbered certificate of authenticity.

Replica Steiff Teddy Bear
This important part of Teddy Bear history, Bar
55PB celebrates 100 years as the first jointed
Teddy Bear.
Bar 55PB, a 1902 Replica (Bar for Bear, 55 for
his height, 55cm, P for plush and B for beweglich
which means jointed).
Originally designed by Richard Steiff and
recreated, by the present artisans at Steiff.
Bar 55PB is 55cm tall and fully jointed. He has
been sewn from a decadently dense, rust brown
mohair, with matching hued, wool felt paws. Like
his predecessor, he has been stuffed with
excelsior and bears, expressive and glossy, black
boot button eyes, with a moulded, sealing wax
nose. A glorious reminded of the Teddy Bears
heritage!
This spectacular piece is a Worldwide Limited
Edition from 2002 and is one of just 7,000 Bears.
He will come to you boxed, with his numbered
certificate of authenticity.

Bagi Teddy Bear
Steiff Limited Edition Bear
This characterful Lady is the Steiff Club Bear
from 2006. She was inspired and based on a 1908
original that was sold at Christies in 2003 -
meet 'Bagi'.
Bagi has been sewn from a luxuriously dense,
straw blonde mohair with matching wool felt paws,
whilst her eyes glisten above her shaved muzzle,
which is home to a hand stitched chestnut nose
and mouth. Just like the original she wears a
light blue wool felt jacket and a cornflower blue
skirt, both crafted from wool felt and trimmed
with contrasting white braid. Her jacket is also
detailed with a collar, pocket and textured,
round metal buttons. A melodic tip and tilt growl
completes her.
Bagi comes with a numbered certificate of
authenticity and a stand for ease of display, in
a cotton velvet, gold embroidered pull string
bag.
