Founded in 2007 by two college pals, New York Puzzle Company started with a simple
idea of making a puzzle of the iconic NYC subway map. These two always thought that puzzles
should be more than just a fun activity to do at home – puzzles should be works of interesting
art. Part fun activity and part home décor, rather than throw them away when finished, they
should be kept on display.

Cherry Blossoms - Vogue

In its Spring Fashions Number from June 15, 1915, Vogue reported
that there were “hints of the Restoration period” in the new
modes. “There are certain lines shown by these narrow skirts, a
certain freedom of the corsage, and sometimes a bit of long and
narrow train, which give me a sensation of having seen a
‘Merveilleuse,’ ” wrote the magazine’s Parisian representative.
Helen Dryden brought her to life in a marvelous cover drawing of
a haughty and supremely elegant femme du monde framed by a
profusion of pink cherry blossoms in an Arcadian garden.

“Let us make our weddings picturesque,” was the editor’s
clarion call, and plea, in the April 1919 Brides issue. “Vogue
seeks to give suggestions that will transform that correct and
proper charm of that correct and proper wedding into something
which more nearly approached the dream that every woman knows.”
George Wolfe Plank was tapped to conjure a bridal reverie for
the cover. Taking center stage is a fantastical creature bride
who steps out from a forest of draperies blooming in flowers
and a dove-adorned headdress, illustrating what form a bride
dressed in the “the perennial silver of fairyland” could take.
