The home of the first smoking man was Heidelberg, a
small village near Seiffen in the Erzgebirge. By
word of mouth, it is known that Ferdinand Frohs and

first smoking man in 1856.

This Santa is the latest introduction to the "little smokers"
by the firm of Franz Karl, made in the village of
Venusberg, near Chemnitz in the Erzgebirge.
This highly detailed smoker has a bag laden with gifts and a
bell in his right hand!
Franz Karl represents the finest in German
workmanship. Wood grain and elaborate pipes are a trademark
for this series of smokers. "Die Kleinen Pfeifenraucher"
comes packaged in an exquisite gift box with a packet of Knox
incense.

Nat Black Forest Fellow
2022 Ulbricht Smoker
This friendly fellow comes from the deep forests of the Black
Forest in SW Germany. The naturally colored boy carries the
symbol of his homeland in front of him, an intricately made
Chalet Cuckoo Clock. And indeed this wind-up mechanism on the
clock does function.
He looks proudly out from under his big hat while a rich felt
coat protects him from wind and weather.
