Franz Carmel Club Bear
2004 Steiff Club Edition
This is the Steiff Collectors Club's bear for 2004-2005 and
was created to pay homage to one of Margarete's nephews. Franz
Steiff was responsible for the organization, purchasing and
sales for the Steiff company. He is the one who thought of
protecting Steiff products against copying with a
'Button in Ear' in 1904.
The bear is made of Golden blond mohair, acrylic stuffing,
beige wool felt paw pads, hand stitched black floss nose,
mouth and claws, shaved muzzle and includes a velvet draw
string bag containing a wooden stamp modeled after the company
stamp with the elephant trademark that was used in 1904.
A russet colored satin neck ribbon with a Steiff Club Edition
2004 porcelain pendant around his neck. Gold plated button
with embossed elephant.

tin elephant basketball game - The elephant balances with
turning propellers - too. The balls are lifted to the tower
top when you wind-up this one - the elephant catches them in
his basket & sends them back to start over.
With its refined lithography of hand drawn graphics this
collectors toy is a reproduction of the original toy
from West Germany in the post WWII era.
