To celebrate the centenary of the button in ear 
featuring the famous Steiff elephant, which was only 
used for one year, Steiff have released a replica of 
the PAB43 which was produced in 1904 and featured 
for the first time.

The button in ear idea of Franz Steiff, a nephew of 
Margarette Steiff.  Limited to production until the end 
of year 2004
