Belenes Puig, of Barcelona, Spain create distinctive nativity figures that are reflective 
of their rich, Old World origins.  These beautiful figures are meticulously handcrafted
and lovingly detailed.  Refined Terracotta is used and hand pressed into the limited 
use molds needed for reproduction.  The slightly hardened Terracotta pieces are 
removed from the molds and joined together to form a full figure.
While the clay is still soft, additional details are hand sculpted.  The fully dimensional 
figures are then sun dried and a final kiln firing changes the fragile, unfired terracotta 
into its hardened state.  The fired clay figures are then clothed by dropping their cotton
costuming upon the form.  Finally, these figures are hand painted by Spanish Artisans.
