This mushroom shaped wooden nutcracker actually does crack 
nuts...very well!  Hazelnuts, Walnuts - the screwed top 
slowly applies pressure to the shell keeping the meat of the 
nut from becoming crushed.  Keep those beautiful Guards and 
Soldier nutcrackers as holiday décor and use this one as a 
functioning nussknacker!

It is made from the wood of fruit-wood trees in the Black 
Forest of Germany.
