Q. I have a Charley Harper "Anhinga" Series 2 Plate 1 63/500 signed. Any idea of worth?
12/28/09
A. Gary,

This appears to be the "Anhinga" serigraph by Charley Harper as published in 1969. It sould have an image area of about 20x44 inches and is valued approximately at $1,500 today.

Charley Harper previously published an Anhinga as a Ford Times image in 1958 that sells in $600 range.

I'm not sure what your reference to Series 2 Plate 1 means?

Sincerely,

John Ranes II, CPF, GCF

Q. My husband and I have been collecting Charley Harper signed and numbered lithographs since the early 1960s. We have some that I never seem to find in any display of prints for sale. One, for instance is a large ( 20"w x 46"h) depiction of water striders. Is there any source for info on the values for insurance purposes? Also, can you tell me anything about our water striders? It is in the same colors as the more recent one. Thanks!
