An Old-Fashioned Christmas
Rochelle Pennington

Remember a time... A time when every Christmas tree was real. A time when Christmas shopping meant paging through a Sears & Roebuck catalog, and heading downtown to Main Street. A time when Christmas dinner was prepared from canning jars lining the pantry shelves, and from fruits and vegetables grown in your own garden. Christmas meant the arrival of Norman Rockwell paintings of Santa on the cover of The Saturday Evening Post, and hand- written letters addressed to the North Pole with wishes for record players, train sets and Raggedy Ann dolls. An Old-Fashioned Christmas invites readers to re-live the memories that guide our hearts homeward to the much-loved traditions of yesteryear. Hardcover, 176pp illustrated Autographed by the author, Rochelle M. Pennington & Nicholas Pennington Watercolor illustrations by Cathy Stern Published by Pathways Press ISBN 978-0-97450810-4-5 CD Included - Listen to experpts from the old-time radio broadcast of Santa's favorite elf, "Billie-the-Brownie".

Nativities of the World
by Susan Topp Weber

This book includes photographs of over ninety-six nativities from all over the world. Each nativities is shown in full color, with supporting text by Susan Topp Weber. The appendix lists where collections of nativities can be seen in the United States and Europe. The nativities that appear in Weber's book have never been published. Their materials range from wheat straw (Bangladesh) to wrought iron (Ecuador) to churro wool (Navajo) to felt (Kazakhstan) to stone (Peru). An Australian version features native animals, such as kangaroos. A Slovakian artist created a nativity from corn husks. A Czech fiber artist wove the Holy Family from bobbin lace. An Irish knitter stitched the stable scene in wool. An Hawaiian artist made the shelter from a coconut; the star above it is a tiny starfish. Susan began collecting in 1965 and has sold nativities since 1978 in her Santa Fe shop, Susan's Christmas Shop.
