Since 1997 these delightful bird nutcrackers have been issued in limited quantities
during Ulbricht's U.S. signing tour. A handful of shops are selected each year to
host a signing event with Christian, Gunther or Ines Ulbricht.
2010 will mark the fourteenth consecutive bird design to be released in this series.
But it all began with the "Woodpecker" in 1997, a replica of a nutcracker, originally
made by Christian Ulbricht's father, Otto in 1933 to commemorate the birth of his
son Christian.
These delightful miniature bird nucrackers are highly sought after and typically
sell out during the signing events, perhaps because they look great sitting out
all year long.
Below you'll find that we have some of the older Tour Birds from previous years
still available. The 2010 Bird is a beautiful white Dove of Peace!

become available only when Gunther
Ulbricht visits our shop in November later

with Gunther where he will sign, date and
