Second in the Christmas Traditions Series, The Christmas Pickle nutcracker is a limited edition nutcracker of 5,000 pieces, and is signed by Karla Steinbach. This richly decorated Santa holds a small decorated tree in his right hand, which naturally has a pickle ornament hidden in it's branches.

| In his left hand is a mouth blown glass pickle ornament produced by the firm Thuringer Baumschmuck Steinheid, producing hand painted glass ornaments in this lovely mountian village within the Thuringer forest.

A pickle used as a decoration on a Christmas Tree seems odd at first, but it is an old German tradition. It is customary to hide a pickle among the branches of the tree on Christmas Eve.
The first child on Christmas Day to find the Christmas pickle receives an extra gift! * * * * * The reason that you see three different sizes of pickle in the boxed set below, is to allow for children of different ages to search, with the largest pickle designed for the youngest child.
